The “U.S. Public Debt Issues, 1775-1976” database was created by Franklin Noll and includes a listing of public debt issues by the United States Treasury and its predecessors from 1775 to 1976. Issues are listed by accounting year (calendar year until 1843 and fiscal year thereafter) with each year starting on a new page. For each year, the issues are grouped by type of instrument. The database contains roughly 13,000 individual issues.
