Commission for Economic History and the History of Economic Thought
The Romanian Commission for Economic History and the History of Economic Thought (RCEH) was founded in 1993.
The RCEH aims at furthering the studies in economic history and in the history of economic thought, and especially at stimulating the academic cooperation between economists and historians. The RCEH also assumed the responsibility of preparing and editing major synthesis on the economic history of Romania and on the history of the Romanian economic thought.
The RCEH works under the auspices of the Romanian Academy and uses its facilities. Its address is:

The RCEH consists of about 14 scholars, based mostly in Bucharest, but also in other academic centres like Sibiu or Cluj. Scholars who have already delivered significant research in economic history and/or in the history of economic thought can join the RCEH after being coopted by the Board. Board of the RCEH is elected for 4 years. The current President of the RCEH is Prof.Dr. Nicolae N. Constantinescu, member of the Romanian Academy, and the Executive Secretary is Dr. Emilian M. Dobrescu.
