Welcome to new members who joined the Society at the Brisbane conference.

Please note the following news:

1. Pre-1997 issues of the Australian Economic History Review.
The Economic History Society is considering digitalisation of all
pre-1997 issues of the AEHR. This project would require access to a hard
copy set, which would be separated into individual pages for scanning
purposes. If you have a set of the journal, or even some specific
issues, that you would be willing to donate, please contact me. The set
would be non-returnable. Anyone able to provide a full pre-1997 set of
the journal would be offered a complimentary lifetime membership of the
Society including sunscription to the journal.

2. Sir Timothy Coghlan Prize
In 2006 a new annual prize, The Sir Timothy Coghlan prize, will be
awarded for the best paper published in the AEHR. Details will be
available shortly on the Society's website.

3. Asia-Pacific Economic and Business History Conference
The Brisbane conference was a great success. A report is available on
the Society's website at:
http://www.uow.edu.au/commerce/seis/ehsanz/APEBH.html

Plans for APEBH 2007 to be held in Sydney will be announced shortly.
