In this thread I miss any reference to the (nonpolitical) work of the noted
linguist Noam Chomsky. He attributes the uniqueness and biological success
of humans to their development not just of speech but of grammar. He studied
scores of primitive languages around the world and found common principles
of grammar in use.
I've been away and am starting near the end of the thread as of August 10,
so forgive me if I missed it.
