About 20 years ago George Gilder attended a meeting I happened to chair. He said that spectrum would soon have no value, due to spectrum-expanding technology. He was asked why he thought he knew better than AT&T, which had just paid Craig McCaw some $12 billions for his licenses. My impression is that George had second thoughts. Mason Gaffney
