The 8th biennial Conference of the European Historical Economics Society
will be held from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 of September, 2009. The
deadline for paper proposals is March 27, 2009. Please visit
www.graduateinstitute.ch/ehes
The conference will be hosted at the Graduate Institute of International
and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. Our special guest
lecturer will be Professor Barry Eichengreen from the Universtity of
California at Berkeley. Local organizers and the steering committee
invite proposals for papers from all researchers on any aspect of
European or global economic history covering a wide range of periods,
countries and regions. Proposals must include a 3-5 pages abstract and
contact information of the corresponding author. Notifications of
acceptances will be given at the end of April. Graduate students are
encouraged to attend and the Society will offer them a limited number of
subsidies in the form of discounts on registration fees.
