The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, 
invites applications for a full-time position as the 2009-2010 Norges 
Bank Post-Doctoral Fellow starting on 1 September 2009 and ending on 31 
August 2010.

The Institute is looking for a scholar who has recently completed his 
Ph.D. or is expected to complete it before December 2009. The candidate 
should combine the following skills: have a solid knowledge of monetary 
and financial history from a transnational perspective, have a 
combination of technical skills and archival expertise, be well 
acquainted with prominent international scholars in the field, and 
finally, have organizational capacities. The task assignment will be to 
organize and monitor transnational research from a Northern 
European/Scandinavian perspective. Further details on the assignment may 
be obtained from the Institute upon request. We are looking for a 
strongly motivated scholar who would conduct this project at the 
research environment at the Graduate Institute in Geneva under the 
supervision of Professor Marc Flandreau. The selected person should also 
be involved in organizing a workshop for young researchers in this field 
to stimulate the international research community to do comparative 
research which includes Norway.

The position would start on September 1st 2009 and ending on 31st August
