EH.N: ANN: Graduate Fellowship in Economic History at UCLA

The UCLA Center for Economic History (UCLA-CEH) announces its graduate
fellowship in economic history.  Applicants to the doctoral programs in
either Economics or History are eligible for consideration.  The 
Center's award provides full tuition and stipend for the first year of 
the program and for one additional year near the end of the student's 
studies.  In the intervening years the fellow's department will provide 
support (in accordance with the department's program of graduate 
support) in the form of a graduate teaching or research assistantship.

As a condition of the award CEH fellows will pursue a dissertation 
project in the area of economic history; take graduate courses in 
economic history; and participate in the economic history pro-seminar, 
the Von Gremp workshop in economic history, and conferences sponsored by 
the Center.

Individuals wishing to be considered for the fellowship should indicate 
their interest in their graduate admissions essay, and also contact the
