The European University Institute is looking for candidates with a 
distinguished record of scholarly publications and experience in 
postgraduate teaching and doctoral supervision, to fill the following 
positions:

A Chair in Early Modern History of Europe (15th to 18th Centuries) (HEC2)

The Department of History and Civilization invites applications for a 
Chair in Early Modern History of Europe (15th to 18th Centuries). 
Preference will be given to candidates interested in the History of 
the Mediterranean world and /or the History of Renaissance Europe.


A Chair in Economic History (HEC8)

The Department of History and Civilization invites applications for a 
Chair in Economic History. Preference will be given to candidates 
interested in a European comparative context and/or in a global 
perspective, qualified in economic or business history or history of 
economic institutions between the 18th century and the present.


Contracts are for five years, renewable for further three years. The 
Institute is an equal opportunity employer.
