Hagley Research Seminar Series
For its 2008-09 research seminar series, the Center for the History
of Business, Technology, and Society at the Hagley Museum and Library
invites paper proposals from advanced scholars in history, sociology,
or anthropology of work, technology and/or enterprise. We welcome
applicants developing or researching questions, issues or topics that
lie beyond dissertation revision and publication, i.e. "second book"
projects or later. Papers should be original work in progress essays
and at the time of the seminar not already accepted for publication.
All papers will be pre-circulated, and each session will open with
one or more extended comments on the text.
Hagley will cover travel and local expenses, and will also provide an
honorarium to seminar presenters. Kindly send a vita and 1-2 page
statement regarding the work in progress and your planned paper to:
Dr. Roger Horowitz, Hagley Museum and Library, PO Box 3630,
Wilmington DE 19807, or email same to rhorowitz at Hagley.org. Deadline
for submissions is May 1, 2008.
