The Fourth Flemish-Dutch Conference on The Economic and Social 
History of the Low Countries before 1850 will take place in Leyden, 
29-30 January 2009

To present recent findings and stimulate new research on the economy 
and society of the Low Countries before the Industrial Revolution, 
the N.W. Posthumus Institute organizes its Fourth Flemish-Dutch 
conference on the economic and social history of the Low Countries 
before 1850 in Leyden, 29-30 January 2008. The conference is intended 
as a platform for graduate students, junior and senior researchers to 
present papers that fall within the general theme of the conference. 
A call for papers will be issued in June 2008.
