3rd Sound Economic History Workshop
October 3-4, 2008
School of Business, Economics and Law, Göteborg University, Sweden
Keynote Speaker: Patrick O'Brien (Centennial
professor, London School of Economics)
Call for papers
The main aim of the workshop is to gather new
researchers in a friendly and unimposing
environment where they can present their research
and receive constructive criticism from their
peers and leading economic historians. Another
aim of the workshop is to demonstrate the breadth
of Economic History as an academic discipline, so
submissions are encouraged from any sub-field of
Economic History. The workshop is open for
presentations by PhD students and post-docs.
Non-presenters are also encouraged to
participate, so please register even if you do
not wish to present a paper. A very limited
amount of financial assistance will be available
to applicants.
* Deadline for submission of abstract (one page): May 1
* Notification of acceptance: May 15
* Registration: August 15
