Distinguished Visiting Professorship in International Economics -- 
Economic Historians Welcome


The Department of Economics invites applications for the David and 
Lelia Farr Distinguished Visiting Professorship in International 
Economics at Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC) for a 
one-semester appointment during the 2008-2009 or 2009-2010 academic 
years.

We seek an engaged and engaging scholar with a research and teaching 
focus in the areas of International Finance, International Trade, 
Open-Economy Macroeconomics, International Development and/or 
Multilateral Financial Institutions. The Visiting Distinguished 
Professor would be expected to teach upper-level undergraduate 
economics majors (course load negotiable), and to maintain an active 
program of research on issues in International Economics. In 
addition, we seek an individual who would be eager to collaborate in 
the research efforts of Wake Forest Economics faculty, to address 
student and faculty audiences from Economics and Business, and to 
promote longer-term goals of enhancing the research and teaching 
missions of the Department of Economics. Salary is competitive.
