Abstract:
There are a large number of challenges associated with the analysis
of height data from military records on account of the enforcement of
minimum height requirements. This essay provides an overview of two
decades of experience with working such truncated height
distributions and concludes that truncated OLS or truncated maximum
likelihood regressions are the appropriate methods to apply to such
samples.
