University Location and Description

The Queen's Campus occupies 160 acres of land in the south end of
Kingston, Ontario. The university overlooks the meeting place of Lake
Ontario and the St Lawrence River.

Type of Degree Offered

The Economics department offers a Ph.D. degree in Economics with a
specialization in Economic History.

Short History of the Program

The program in Economic History is 40 years old.

Students
	
Currently we have two students specializing in Economic History.
In the past ten years we have had three students specialize in the
discipline. After graduating these students have found positions in
various academic jobs in Canada.

Faculty

The faculty who carry out research in Economic History include
Frank Lewis, Alan Green, Ian Keay, and Marvin McInnis.

Offered Courses in Economic History
	
At the undergraduate level we usually offer five courses in
Economic History (2 North American, 2 European, 1 seminar). At the
graduate level two courses with focus on North America

Seminar Series

There is a seminar series which meets three or four times per term (2
terms).
