The Statistics
of Income Division has been putting together an intergenerational data
set, linking estate tax records of decedents to income tax records of
heirs. Not sure of the stage of the project. Contact Dr. Sheuren. The
IRS has other longitudinal data sets as well. SOI division and Brookings
cosponsor a twice-yearly panel meeting of consultants on data collection
and use.
