The data set is a collection of annual, statewide aggregates for a variety of bank market structure variables. Aggregate balance sheet data are taken from All Bank Statistics. They are calendar-year-end observations. Income statement data are generally available only for national banks. The numbers reported here come from the Annual Reports of the Comptroller of the Currency. Data reported are for the fiscal year. This database is archived for general reference by the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) at the University of Michigan.
