Dear Deirdre, I completely agree with your extension of my argument about trade. Yes, language matters and humans clearly have the advantage in this respect. However, we should not underestimate the ability of nonhumans to communicate their preferences. Their communication may take the form of sound, bodily displays, and transmitted scents. Unfortunately, there is no Rosetta Stone which would permit humans to translate nonhuman languages. Also, I hope your are well.
