EH.R: Ownership of French Stock and Bonds
Alfred Neymarck wrote extensively on individual (and, to lesser extent, institutional) ownership of French stock and bonds, which he interpreted as "une democratie financiere" (a financial democracy). Neymarck's research on this subject effectively ends before World War I. Does anyone know of either published research and/or primary source data on individual and/or institutional ownership of stock and bonds in France in the 1920's and/or 1930's? Thanks.
