I earlier sent some references for Boris Simkovich on Swedish unions, but I didn't see them on this list. In case they didn't get through, a brief repeat is: Carl-Goran Andrae, "The Swedish Labor Movement and the 1917-1918 Revolution" in Steven Koblik Ed. _Sweden's Development from Poverty to Affluence, 1750-1970_ (U. of Minnesota, 1975). Donald Blake, _Swedish Trade Unions and the Social Democratic Party_: The Formative Years_ (Berkeley, 1961). Eli Heckscher, _An Economic History of Sweden_ (Harvard, early 50's) has a few pages on late 19th c trade union movement, look in his index under labor or trade unions.
