Dear Member of The Cliometric Society:
Linked to this letter is a renewal
form. Timely renewal allows you to receive your newsletters and journals without interruptions.
Membership Services and Options:
Membership Types: Please remember that "Student" pertains to undergraduate and graduate students only.
Explorations in Economic History: Cliometric Society members receive a discount over the personal subscription rate, and your savings on a subscription is more than three times larger than your Clio dues! (Please note that we can accept only one-year subscriptions to the journal.)
Editorial Board members receive complimentary subscriptions. If you are currently a member of the editorial board of EEH, please note this information on your membership renewal form.
Dual Membership in EHES: Joint membership in the European Historical Economics Society is again available this year. You can renew or establish membership in both organizations with one membership form and one payment. EHES membership includes a one-year subscription to the journal European Review of Economic History, published three times per year.
Updating Membership Information:
Membership Form: When completing your Membership Form, please verify that your mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, your Clio "area codes," and your e-mail address are correct.
Master Directory and Update Form: Our EH.Net web site offers a master directory, which contains entries for members of The Cliometric Society and other professional societies. If you secretly admire another scholar, you can search the entire directory by member name, affiliation, or other information.
The EH.Net directory can also be searched by association or research code to locate others with shared interests. If you have not yet filled in your Research Interest Codes on your membership form, we encourage you to do so. This search capability will be very helpful to members who would like to locate others for research assistance, feedback on projects or papers, or even potential collaboration. It will also allow scholars who are new to the field to find established researchers in their areas of interest.
On-line address changes: The EH.Net directory also offers an on-line form you can use to change your address or add new information to your entry. Simply search for your listing, and then follow the link to fill out the form.
Donations:
Although dues do not cover the expenses of the Cliometric Society, our goal is to keep membership affordable for students and young scholars new to the profession. Therefore, we rely on donations to balance our budget. As in the past, we offer a "Sustaining Membership" category, which includes a $15 tax-deductible contribution. For those of you who can afford to make a larger contribution, there is space on the membership form where you can fill in the amount of your donation. We will gladly -- and promptly -- provide receipts for donations.
Sincerely,
Lee A. Craig
