This study examines the integration of Bavarian grain markets in the early 19th century. The differences in comovement of price fluctuations of wheat, barley, and oats are analysed, taking into account the spatial structure of the region. It is shown that the comovement increases over time, and that geographical distance plays an important role for the correlation of price fluctuations.
